What We’ll Miss Most About Our Home

Selling our home is very bittersweet. We loved living here, but are relocating to out-of-state..  We hope you enjoy living here as much as we did.  Here’s what we’ll miss most about living here and what you will likely love about it as well.

1.) The Space and Storage:  When we designed this home, we made sure to plan enough space for any and all of the things that we might need.  The top of our list was having spacious rooms where we could gather and all be together.  We spent countless hours playing games and making memories in the oversized basement.  We hope our next home can have such a special space.

2.) No neighbors behind or to the west side:  In a neighborhood where homes can be found very close together, we always loved that our home was more spaced out.  Because there were no homes directly behind us, our home always had a very open feel.  We also had a direct view of the park and playground which was convenient when our kids wanted to play there.

3.) Extra-deep garage: This garage served many purposes for us.  We loved that it provided  ample work space  for all of the home projects we wanted to do.  We also always had a designated place to keep all of our holiday decorations as well.

4.) Bright kitchen:  Because we had designed this space to be our forever home, we were very intentional about the layout of the kitchen.  We wanted something bright and inviting and it came together perfectly.  We always had enough counter space to spread out and cook several things at once.

5.)  Insulation in the attic:  We had extra insulation installed in the attic and we are so glad we did.  The upstairs would always stay cool in the summer and warm in the winter because of it.

6.)  Awesome neighborhood:  There are so many things to love about this community.  Things like the pickle ball courts down the street, walking trails in every direction,  and the countless friendly faces.  We will definitely miss all of the friends we’ve made here and the amenities we grew accustomed to having.

7.) Back yard:  We found ourselves on many summer evenings relaxing on the back patio.  This was where we would come to unwind. It would always be shaded during that time of the day and made it ideal for visiting, playing games and having gatherings.

8.) Extra-large water heater:  Another conscious choice we made when we built this home was making sure we had an extra-large water heater.  Even though we often had a house full of people, we never had to worry about running out of hot water.

We hope you see how special this home is.  It has been really good to us.  We shared a lot of wonderful memories here that we will take with us in our new adventure.  Best of luck to you in this crazy housing market!
