Your New Favorite Shop in Riverton/South Jordan area

You know that rush you get when you finally arrive somewhere you really love?  You know, that rush and thrill of joy that takes over once you’re there? 

For my husband, it’s anywhere up in the snowy mountains. For me, it’s the west side of Maui – (not sure how we work but somehow it does.)  

If I’m thinking on a more realistic scale and trying to find somewhere a little closer to home that lights me up inside, I can always get the quick fix I need by going to The Kinlands in Riverton.  If you’ve never been there, think of it as if Anthropologie and a farmers market had a baby and sourced only the most beautiful, delicious and fresh items. That’s Kinlands and it is da-reamy. 

To paint you a picture, the ceiling has locally grown flowers that hang upside down and they have a tree that appears to be growing out of the middle of it. They have fresh baked goods from local bakers, and refillable, clean soap bars in gorgeous glass canisters. They have home decor in calming earth toned linens and a wall of books, each so beautiful that you know only the prettiest make the cut to be in the store. Oh and did I mention the fresh fruits and veggies? Like I said, Anthro AND a farmers market. Honestly, it’s heaven, if heaven could be a store.  Every detail is so intentional and special that it makes me want to move to a cottage out in the country and live off the grid, only returning to civilization to stock my home with more artisanal items. 

If you have a spare hour in your next week or so, friend, you take that opportunity to go. I should add that my kids love the store too. It is set on their family farm with lots of fun animals to visit. You can all say hello to the goats and chickens before you step foot in the world’s cutest cottage. The shop even has a cat that greets customers in between naps. It’s a whole vibe and I couldn’t love it more. Put it at the top of your list of places to see. You can thank me later.
